Pavers Foundation supports Sunflowers, suicide bereavement charity.

The Pavers Foundation, charitable initiative of multi-channel leading footwear retailer, Pavers has recently donated £1,000 to Gloucestershire-based suicide bereavement charity, Sunflowers. The grant was made on behalf of Paula Crilley, Supervisor at Pavers Whitminster, through the Pavers Foundation’s employee grant application scheme.

Paula applied for the grant funding for the charity, run by a close friend of hers, having been a supporter for a number of years. The grant application scheme allows all colleagues of Pavers to apply for donations to causes close to their hearts, which make a difference in areas of health, education and the community.

Paula explained why the charity is so important to her: “This is a charity very close to my heart, set up by a friend of mine following a very unexpected and devastating loss. With an increasing number of deaths by suicide occurring, especially in younger people, this is a vital service to the community”.

Sunflowers will use the grant funding to set up a secondary monthly support group in Stroud, the donation will pay for 10 sessions of suicide bereavement support for a small group with a dedicated professional counsellor. The team at Sunflowers were hugely grateful to be awarded the funding; “Thank you so much for choosing us to receive a £1,000 grant. We truly appreciate all your support”.

The Pavers Foundation is hugely proud to make a difference to charities and causes across the UK and beyond. Since they were founded in 2018, The Foundation have donated over £1.4 million and counting, to good causes nominated by colleagues of the business and the Paver family.
