Pavers Foundation Responds to Age UK’s Emergency Appeal

The Pavers Foundation has donated on behalf of Graham Paver, son of Pavers founder Catherine Paver, £15,000 to Age UK to help with their amazing work supporting our vulnerable, older population throughout the COVID-19 outbreak.

The donation to Age UK’s Emergency Coronavirus Appeal will help support Age UK staff and volunteers to continue to provide practical and emotional support to older people throughout the UK in the coming weeks and months.

Laurie Boult, Fundraising Director at Age UK, said the following about the donation:

“Thank you so much to Pavers Foundation for their thoughtful support during this exceptionally challenging time. This is a period of great anxiety for everyone, but especially for older people and their loved ones. Age UK is determined to be there for older people who need our help and especially for those who have no one else to turn to in this time of crisis. Thank you for making sure we can respond to the growing needs and unprecedented demand we’re seeing.”

Laurie Boult, Fundraising Director at Age UK

During these unprecedented times, the needs of older people in this country will skyrocket and as many of us that possibly can need to support our vulnerable friends, family and neighbours. If you are able to support Age UK at this incredibly difficult time you can do so via the Emergency Appeal or visit www.ageuk.org/coronaappeal.
There are also many practical tips on how we can all help older people in our community at this difficult time at www.ageuk.org.uk/helping.

Pavers, Jones and Herring colleagues are all being actively encouraged to help out in any way they can in their local communities, whilst our stores go through a period of temporary closure to help ease the strain on essential services, care facilities and the NHS, who are all going above and beyond at this difficult time.

The Pavers Foundation was established in 2018 and is proud to support Age UK.
