Pavers Foundation Funds Sensory Swing for Dorothy Goodman Students!

The Pavers Foundation, charitable employee-led initiative of leading footwear retailer, Pavers, has recently granted £4,500 to Dorothy Goodman school in Hinckley on behalf of Samantha Grove, who is a sales advisor at the Pavers Store at Woodlands Garden Centre in Stapleton.

Samantha applied for the funding through the Pavers Foundation grant application scheme, which encourages colleagues across the entire business to apply for funding for local non-profit groups, organisations, charities and causes which make a difference to others. Dorothy Goodman School is an inclusive educational base which combines mainstream and additional needs teaching, supporting students from ages 11-19. The donation from the Pavers Foundation will be used to purchase a sensory swing for the children who attend Dorothy Goodman.

Samantha thanked the Pavers Foundation for supporting her chosen good cause on her behalf; “I am so grateful for what a wonderful thing the Foundation does, and it means a lot to me that such a large amount of money was given to the students and Dorothy Goodman school, a school very close to my heart as it's where my brother attended many years ago now!

On behalf of the children, teachers, and everyone at Dorothy Goodman school, they send their biggest thank you and are overjoyed! Seeing the children's faces when talking so excitedly about their swing that's coming soon is amazing.”

The Pavers Foundation is delighted to be able to support this cause so close to the heart of one of its valued colleagues. The Foundation continues to award grants to charities and causes up and down the UK and beyond and is proud to donate 2% net profits from the main business each year to the Foundation, meaning they can continue to make a difference with every pair.
