Pavers Foundation donates to Local Hospice on Behalf of Colleague

The Pavers Foundation, charitable giving scheme of multi-channel footwear retailer, Pavers has recently donated £1,000 to Lewis Manning Hospice care on behalf of Sue Logan, Customer Advisor at Pavers in Poole.

The grant was made through the Foundation’s employee led grant application scheme which enables all colleagues of the business to apply for funding on behalf of charities and causes they care about, and which are impactful in areas of health, education, and community. Lewis Manning Hospice care, a local facility providing day hospice care for people with life limiting illnesses, will use this donation to refurbish their air conditioning units at the centre.

Sue explained why it was important to her to support the Hospice; “Lewis Manning provides many services which include day hospice care, creative arts and wellbeing, bereavement and family support and complementary therapy aimed at people living in Poole and the surrounding areas. My daughter Emma provides some of this therapy to patients and I have seen what a difference this can make to people living in these difficult circumstances. Thank you to the Foundation for supporting this very worthy cause in my locality”.

Katie Hewitt, Director of Finance and Operations thanked the Foundation: “Thank you for this wonderful and kind donation which will help us to refurbish our air conditioning at the hospice, a huge necessity to ensure we regulate the temperature for the health benefits of all our patients”.

The Pavers Foundation has donated over £1.5 million to good causes up and down the UK and beyond over the last 4 years, and is proud to make a difference to hundreds and thousands of lives, by donating to the charities and causes nominated by colleagues of the business.
