Pavers Foundation donates to ‘Dougie Mac’!

The Pavers Foundation, employee-led charitable initiative of leading footwear retailer, Pavers, has recently donated £1,000 to Douglas Macmillan Hospice on behalf of Linda Plant, Customer Advisor at Pavers Stoke, in memory of her brother.

Linda applied for the funding for the hospice, which is the only one of its kind, giving end of life care in the North Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent area. Following the application, Linda was awarded £1,000 by the Foundation to donate to the charity, which will allow them to deliver counselling sessions to their patrons and families who use the services.

I wanted to say thank you again, to the Pavers family and the foundation for this most generous donation. I feel very proud to be part of a company that takes such an active interest in their employees and their welfare, it is a great honour for my brother’s name to be remembered in such a special way.” Linda Plant.

Jilly Lawton, Senior Trust and Philanthropic Fundraiser at Douglas Macmillan Hospice, thanked the Foundation for their support. “This donation to Dougie Mac, will help many who need counselling and emotional support to help them come to terms with their diagnosis and/or loss. Your support has made a difference to our patients today and for those we will inevitably care for in the future, thank you.

The Pavers Foundation is delighted to have supported almost 300 charities and causes across the UK and beyond since it was established in 2018. The Foundation reached their £1million milestone in 2021 and continues to make a difference with every pair sold, donating 2% net profits from the business each year to good causes nominated by their colleagues.
