Bishopthorpe United Kick off the Season with a Local Donation

The Pavers Foundation are delighted to donate £500 to local football club, Bishopthorpe United FC, as a result of a grant application from Emily Goldsmith, Retail marketing Team Leader at Pavers Head Office in York.

Emily applied for the funding through the Foundation’s employee-led grant application scheme, to benefit the club, in which both her brother and husband play.

“With my husband playing for Bishopthorpe since he was small and my brother being Manager of one of the teams, it is so encouraging to be able get funding for charities that are part of your community through my place of work. A massive thank you to the Pavers Foundation for this contribution that the club are so grateful for.”

The donation will be put towards buying new kits for the team, who train weekly at York College, close to pavers Head Office.

“On behalf of Bishopthorpe Football Club, I would like to thank the Pavers Foundation for their generous donation. Amateur football clubs stay in existence due to these kinds of donations from local businesses. The contribution from the Pavers Foundation will be a great help towards our new kits for the team”.
