The Pavers Foundation has made a donation of £1,500 to A Little Lifetime Foundation (ALLF) following a grant application by Rosemarie Duffy, Store Manager at Blanchardstown Centre.
In 2017 Rosemarie was expecting her 3rd child and was lucky enough to have a healthy pregnancy. At the same time her niece Michelle and her husband Gerry were expecting their 2nd child. Sadly their daughter, Robyn-Grace, passed away at 26 weeks gestation, a month before Rosemarie’s son, Jonah, was born. It was a very difficult and highly emotional time for the whole family.
This is when A Little Lifetime Foundation stepped in and offered support.
“They were unbelievable in the care they gave to Michelle. Through this charity she has met so many friends and gets a chance to remember her princess through their beautiful remembrance services. They couldn’t have gotten through it without them.”
Rosemarie Duffy, Store Manager at Pavers in Blanchardstown Centre
A Little Lifetime Foundation was founded in 1983 by a group of bereaved parents whose babies died before or at birth or some time after birth. The charity’s aim is to “promote healthy grieving and bring understanding and hope when a baby dies at any stage of pregnancy, during or after birth”.
Over 500 infants die in Ireland each year around the time of birth. A Little Lifetime Foundation provides valuable information, services and support to enable these families to get through one of life’s greatest tragedies. They offer memory boxes, burial clothes, one-to-one counselling, parent support meetings, creative workshops, remembrance services and online support. All these services are provided free of charge.
In response to receiving this donation, A Little Lifetime Foundation have said:
“Thank you for supporting ALLF. You can be assured that your generous donation will go towards providing a vital lifeline to parents and families.”
Mary McGrath, National Chairperson, A Little Lifetime Foundation
This donation from the Pavers Foundation will allow A Little Lifetime Foundation to continue to meet the needs of grieving families by providing them with information, support and hope.
