The Pavers Foundation has donated £700 to the T.S Nautilus, Nautical Training Corps (N.T.C), a Brighton based youth organisation, helping young people aged 8 -18 reach their full potential through nautically based training.
Emma Blake, Assistant Manager at our store in Brighton, has been a part of the N.T.C from a young age, and now volunteers as an officer for T.S Nautilus. Emma applied through our Grant Application initiative to help fund a ‘Boating Skills Weekend’ for some of the young Cadets!
T.S Nautilus has been offering challenging, exciting activities for young people since 1944 and today has a total of 250 Cadets.
The non-profit group relies heavily on donations, fundraising and membership fees to support the upkeep of the organisation and its training events. For activities like the ‘Boating Skills Weekend’, Cadets will usually fundraise themselves through sponsored events or the Ships Management Committee will raise money through stalls, events in the local community.
“I chose to support the NTC as I have been a member for over 25 years now, along with most of my family. I started when I was just a young girl, and now I enjoy teaching the young Cadets and sharing with them everything I have learnt throughout my time with the organisation. Thank you to the Pavers Foundation”.Emma Blake, Assistant Manager at our store in Brighton and 2/o Officer at T.S Nautilus N.T.C
“On behalf of the Cadets of T.S Nautilus I would like to express our thanks for the donations from the Pavers Foundation. The cadets will enjoy every event that comes from the Pavers Foundation’s support.”1/O J Parsons (Commanding Officer) T.S Nautilus N.T.C
