Pocklington Cricket Club bowled over by £1,000 donation from The Pavers Foundation!

The Pavers Foundation, charitable initiative of Pavers Shoes, has donated £1,000 to Pocklington Cricket Club, following a grant application submitted by James Fletcher, Financial Controller at Pavers Head Office in York. The donation was awarded in the form of match funding, to recognise substantial fundraising already carried out by the club.

James applied for this funding on the club’s behalf to upgrade the facilities at the club and to encourage participation from junior cricketers in the wider Pocklington community.

“On behalf of myself, Connaire, and all PCC members I would like to thank you for the generous donation which will allow the improvements to the ground and facilities here at Burnby Lane, home of the Pocklington Cricket Club.” James Fletcher.

PCC’s secretary, Dan Croft also thanked the Foundation for the match funding, “On behalf of Pocklington Cricket Club I would like to place on record our gratitude and thanks to the Pavers Foundation for their generous and supportive donation to our club. It is with such support that we can keep improving our practice facilities at Burnby Lane which is vital in the development of our junior section and encouraging them to come back to PCC year on year”.

The Pavers Foundation has donated over £1.1 million and is delighted to continue making a difference to causes and charities close to the hearts of the 1500 colleagues of Pavers. The Foundation donates to causes which make a difference in areas of health, education and community and has recently embarked on environmental initiatives which are being championed throughout the entire business.
