Pavers Foundation Supports Cricket Club with £500 Donation

The Pavers Foundation, charitable employee-led initiative of leading multi-channel footwear retailer Pavers has recently donated £500 to Stillington Cricket Club, on behalf of Frankie Gibson, Product and Creative Copywriter at Pavers Head Office in York.

Frankie applied for funding through the Foundation’s grant application scheme, which encourages all colleagues in the business to apply for grant funding for causes close to their hearts, which are impactful in areas of health, education, and community. Frankie’s cousins both enjoy sport at Stillington Cricket Club, and she was saddened to hear about recent break-ins at the club, leading them into financial difficulty.

The grant donation will be used to replace the nets, which are currently in poor condition, Frankie explained the importance of the club to those who attend it: “It is a great club at the heart of the community and really encourages children to reach their potential”.

The Foundation is immensely proud to have donated over £1million to date to worthy causes up and down the UK and beyond. The vast majority of the donations from the Pavers Foundation go to charities voted for by colleagues working in the business through votes for annual charities and individual grant applications.
