Ashfield Juniors 2010’s Grant Win

Back in January the Pavers Foundation donated £500 to Ashfield Juniors 2010’s community football club in Glasgow, Scotland.

The donation came after Julie Donnelly, Customer Advisor at Pavers in St Enoch centre in Glasgow applied for the grant to the support the club in which her son attends.

Julie said “Training facilities, match-days and equipment all costs money and the club welcome any donations to help support with ongoing costs. Thank you to the Foundation for supporting the club”.

Jason Connor, Head Coach said “I would like to thank the Pavers Foundation for this money which helped us to buy new strips for the children and helped towards some new footballs which they needed for the new season”.

Ashfield Juniors is a fantastic football club that helps to keep young boys fit and healthy by promoting regular exercise. The coaches volunteer their time to teach the children all aspects of football and are all SFA registered. The team train 2-3 times a week and play in non-competitive games on a Sunday morning.

Jason Connor, Head Coach said “it cannot be underestimated how much this grant has helped the team and allows us to keep the costs down for the parents during tough economic times, meaning no child has to miss out”.

The Foundation is delighted to be able to support yet another fantastic football club. We hope the new kit and equipment is a great resource the season ahead!
